Default Cutting holes in door panel

i'm planning on putting some 6.5s in the door on my 79 camaro, but i'm not to comportable of cutting the holes to install them. I've gone to a couple of places, but the want atleast 150 just to cut the holes and run speaker wire. what tools would i need to do this? is there anything else i would need to cut or watch out for? thanks

Default RE: Cutting holes in door panel

The lower right side is the place to cut on drive side same position on passenger lower left and use a new razor blade and snipers. Every Camaro I had about 8 or 9 I did not use the door but one had them so I used it. My suggestion is since you are only looking for mid range speakers is the front of the center column where the shifter is all the way to the front of the car mount them there and great a good set of tweeters and mount them up top of the dash board where the factory spears were. The back you can call someplace like crutchfield there is a box made just for the F-Body Camaro’s or do what I did and install one 10in Bazooka tube for base and your car will rock.
