Default Cluster Gauge Problem

I had my cluster gauges stop working end of last year. The tach, speedo and temp gauges don't work. The pins are stuck. Not sure if I should replace all the gauges or maybe just the circuit board? Any help would be most appreciated.

Not sure if this is true. But I heard if a dash light is out in an 80 Camaro it effects the Alt/Battery charging?

Just thought I would ask. Advance Auto Parts mentioned that to me when I was buying a new Alt to replace.

Just want to get everything straight.

All the gauges wouldn't go out at once.

Did you check your fuses?
Make sure you are getting power to the cluster.

Sounds like an issue with the power supply to the cluster. Have you checked the connection at the rear of the cluster or the printed circuit board? That is most likely what is wrong. I dont think a bulb out would effect the charging system unless the wiring is totally buggered up. Even the ALT light being out would not cause any issues.

Something coincidental about replacing the alternator and the gauge cluster quitting. Could it be the alt. caused an issue that created a voltage problem with the cluster?
