I got my 80 with a built 355,and looking just as it does in the picture in my sig. for $3,200 and the only thing wrong with it was the upholstery on the drivers seat was ripped,so i wouldn't exactly say $5k would get you a basket case,at least not around here,it may be different where you are,but like i said in my opinion $9500 seems steep considering it says in the ad it still needs some finishing work,i see very nice finished cars with new paint all the time on other forums for around $6500-$8000 just sayin.

Like i said though,at least from what i see in the pics,it looks like a really nice car,i dont know anything about the how the market is for these cars in New york, but if your truly interested in that car,i'd go check it out in person and fully evaluate what needs finished, and make them an offer that you feel comfortable paying for it and that wont cost you a small fortune to finish since they dont specify what type of finishing it needs.Although i should have specified in my last post, even around here,i got really lucky on the deal i got on my car, that is not the average deal here, there are alot of people around here that will try to get $5k or more for a complete piece of s**t haha, the guy i bought my car from originally wanted $4500,but he was getting ready to move out of state and came down to what i had just so he didnt have to deal with all the trouble of trying to store it and move it,etc. so like i said i would throw them an offer and see what happens.
