Just curious, why did you want to replace the existing carb since the engine was running so good with it, just to have something shiny and new?

I've seen 750 vac sec. on 10 sec Novas. I agree with Camaro and also want to know why not rebuild it?

True true.....suppose if the 800 doesn't fair so well....I can use it for parts to make the 750 the car came with work again

And I did just want to start fresh with a different carb so I could have the old one as a back up of sorts.

A Holley Trick kit would have you back to newish.
