Default Brakes

Before i put this car away for the winter in another month and have it restored as i stated in another thread. What sorts of slotted brakes are out there for these 2nd gens? Id like to get the best brakes i can get for my car considering its not my daily driver and only to be used in the winter? Can anyone point me out a few types brands?

Why do you want to go with slotted rotors? For a street car, they're for looks only, plus they wear the pads down faster. Your 75 is only to be used in the winter?

There's a number of things you can toss money towards for brakes, but I agree with Camaro69, it's a waste of money for a summer street car. Get some good pads, and if your rotors need turning do that, or replace them with stock rotors.

Summer....ok, that's better! I was ready to.......eh, never mind!
I don't like getting rotors at a parts store, unless they're a good name brand. Stay away from "house brands" as they can most likely be cheap China made ones. Do some price shopping, then check out rockauto.com. They have good better and best grades, and you get what you pay for. Unless you're driving the car in a road course race, I wouldn't waste your money on slotted rotors. With the pads, I always use ceramic, as they leave little to no brake dust on the wheels. If ordering from rockauto, I usualy get Raybestos and they've always worked well. I also like that they include the anti squeak coating goop with the pads, others don't. On my daughters car, I just put on a set of Wagner pads from O'Reilleys, and they were reasonably priced. Anti-squeak goop not included. They seem fine, but the jury's still out on the long term test.
