Heh, heh...if the earth starts to spin faster within the next week, we can figure something must have gone wrong.

You don't know how well I actually know what that's like!!!!! When I was a young apprentice electrician I was in an old downtown building drilling through 4"x14" old oak beams in the ceiling to run flex through. Had a huge old auger bit, a hole hog, and was on a 14' stepladder when I hit an old square nail! The bit caught and spun me before I knew what happened, and all I could do was hang on as the ladder fell over. After about a dozen revolutions or so the extension cord came unplugged and I stopped. I was wrapped up in the cord like a cocoon and NOBODY was in the building! The only guy around was the journeyman and he was next door, so I hung there for 10-15 min. until he came back.
When he walked in the door the first thing he did was fall down on the floor laughing so hard he was crying. Once he composed himself I asked if he could stand up the ladder and come up to unwrap me. Of course he told everyone at the shop so they could get a good laugh out of it too!
It's pretty funny to look back on it now that I'm retired. Hope you're not psychic!

Yeah, I wish he had taken one too! I've told a lot of young apprentices the story and gotten a lot of mileage out of that incident!

Called 4 different HF places today and nobody carries the anchors now. I also noticed my link to their catalog listing doesn't work either! They all told me the anchors were discontinued because they didn't sell well. I ordered them from Northern Tools, so have to wait a week to get them.

So finally after waiting for the anchors they came with clamps missing for the cables. Northern was great and immediately contacted the mfg. and had a 2nd set sent out, which came as a complete set of 4, and so I ended up with 2 sets of 4, and just needed 4 cable clamps to finish the 1st set. Contacted Northern and asked what I was supposed to do with all the extra parts when I only needed 4 clamps, and they said keep it all for my trouble!
So today I bought 4 clamps and installed all 8 of the 30" anchors, so got one at every post. Turned them in with a breaker bar, and they were pretty easy to do in our good solid clay earth. Shouldn't be going anywhere now!
