Default What a surprise!

An Escalade suv pulled up beside me at a light while I was on my way to get lunch in between my classes. The driver was being a ****** and revving and whatever, so I just thought I'd pull out a little faster than normal, that Escalade couldn't be fast, right? Wrong. I pulled out almost normally at first, no dumping the clutch or whatever, then gave it about half throttle. Against suv's, that usually does the trick, but this guy stayed right with me. So, naturally, I floored it and ran him. He pulled on me bad through my 2nd gear, but I thought I'd get him in third like I usually do against trucks and other big vehicles that have a lot of low end power, but he still pulled away. When I let up I was doing about 90 and my front tires were beside his back tires, I didn't pull on him at all the entire time. Had no clue Escalades were that quick, I was sure my 3.8 would easily leave it behind lol.

i've ran trucks and suv's before, i knew if it had a big v8 it would kill me until i reached 3rd, that's what always happens. i ran a triton v8 f150 and it destroyed me up until 60, then i pulled and went by fairly easy. i just didn't think that heavy suv would take me on top end, and i didn't know the engine was that powerful. don't get me wrong, it wasn't slaughter, but losing's losing i guess. looking back i shouldn't have been cocky by pulling out easy lol.
