Not quite that easy. From the firewall back, the car is unibody. You need to cut out the old, and weld in the new.

you can unbolt the front and change it out but the back will require alittle more work.i wouldnt want to do it.i know you said money is tight but i would be looking for something aftermarket.i wonder how many spot welds there are.

Now would be a good time to learn how to cut & weld. A couple hundred bucks will get you a fairly decent mig welder for your needs. And trust me, once you have one you'll wonder how you ever did without it. I know you said you didn't have a lot of money, but you would be paying someone else a fortune (by comparison) to do the job.

yeah and i hate when strange people even stand too close to my camaro...that would be wierd! imma have to look into that for sure! welding isn't hard is it?
