Everyones talkin limited slip. This is his race car. I would toss a mini spool in it to save coin. It won't take long before the stock axels give up with slicks though. A spool is cheaper than a posi. Mini or full both are cheaper.http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-730085/

He won't be happy at all then with a spool/locked rearend.

Wait a second! In his very first post he said, "I dont need the car to do 90 mph but 55 mph is to slow. "
What kind of a race car doesn't need to go 90mph? A 15 second race car????

I drove a spool here and there. Wouln't go daily driver. But a cruise to Lake Michigan ( not far) was not out of the question. If it has slicks he won't be going far anyhow. Just sayin if I were building a track car then thats what I would do. I did break the spool. But it was a circle track spool and I thought I was saving money.

You said it all right there...
A cruise to Lake Michigan is one thing. Navigating a car "around town", like he wants to do, without making a number of turns, is going to be rather difficult. Not to mention he'll be more apt to break something as you did.

Yeah I learned the same lesson back in the '70's on my '71. I was racing weekends and driving it to work with a spool. I thought it was cool to have it continually chirp going around corners in town until it snapped.

Mine snap at the track that God. Still had good traction on one tire. therew me sideways. When i got it straight I punched it again. Wrong thing to do. This time I wine danced it across the track and back. When I stopped the scuffs going up the sides of my slicks were about 3'. Turned me ghost white.
