The best thing to do is to try and find the parts from a Camaro or Firebird of your vintage. ebay and craigslist are good places to start. You'll need a pedal assembly, linkage, flywheel, pressure plate & disc (better off with new on those three), manual slip yoke, sawzall, hammer, beer, bandaids, cuss words, etc.

If I assume you are taking manual
The process is pretty straight forward. You will need the pedals and the Z bar and the clutch linkage and a shifter. The bell housings are pretty standard. The shifter bolts to the side of the trans on the tail shaft. You will need to cut a hole in the floor for the shifter. I am sure you could find the dimensions somewhere online or mock it and just see where it needs cut. To do it right you could find the “shifter hump” for the floor and weld it in.
Possible problems.
Tranny is not out of a Camaro and is not drilled and tapped for a Camaro shifter. Easy fix.
The z-bar goes between a bracket on the frame and the engine block. There is a pivot bolt that screws into the engine. If you current engine is not taped for it then you will need to pull the motor and drill and tap it. That assumes you want a stock type setup.
Another thing is you really want to track down what type of tranny you have. There are some 4 speed Saginaws out there that would not last more then a few minutes behind a 383.

Worth it? Depends on your interest and what trans. If you want a 4 spd manual, and the tranny is a good one, then it's worth it. If it's simply a matter of performance, then I'd say it's not worth it, as a TH350 or TH400 can out perform a 4spd with the right build.
