Default Aluminum bumper question:

I was hoping to know how to restore the finish on my aluminum bumpers for a 75 Camaro. I'm not sure what method- maybe sanding and buffing, or some other way to give them a new finish? Don't know and thank you for any help you may have!
(By the way, love the thread "What have you done to your Camaro today?")

Sorry I'm not allowed to attach photo's(??) - (no rust)

Thanks!!

LOL good one. They don't let you post pics until 10 posts. Keeps the spammers at bay. Your bumper is anodized I think. So you could start with a 180 to get that and the crap off. Then go 320, then start with a buffing compound just like paint. They sell a desent bar compound a Lowes. Its similar to what my dad uses at work (40yrs polishing aluminum). Otherwise pull it off and have a pro do it.
