alittle wiper switch wiring help

Default alittle wiper switch wiring help

so my 78 lt has a broken wiper switch with 7 wires coming off it, came across a switch from an 80 z28 today, only has 4 wires coming off the switch, is there a way i can wire up the 80 switch? would anyone know which wires to use?

If it was mine I'd stick with the correct switch, and not rewire for another that may not work as well.

That newer switch must have less positions or functions than your old switch does.
You'll end up missing out on something if you jury rig the new switch.

so i picked up a switch from another 78 today, but this one has the 4 prongs as in the pic below, my old switch is on the right, has wires coming right off the switch housing, if anyone has the dash panel off their car, can someone post a pic of the wiring harness so i can see which wires goto which prong. thanks

is one from intermittent wipers and the other not

hm not sure on that one. switch that came with the car never worked
