The contrast looks nice. I've never used the razor blade trick for fear of tearing the paint. I've used thinner shortly after the paint was put on and it takes it right off. Only enough on the rag to remove the paint so it doesn't run and ruin it. Whatever works, eh.

The only problem with the razor blade trick was slicing the paint off, not scraping it off. Then making sure the paint that was curling up as I sliced didn't build up and fall onto the fresh paint. It was dry, but it seemed to stick a little if I didn't wipe the blade off every pass. I'll try the thinner lightly next time.

Thanks Pablo. Saved me changing them out. Just couldn't find something I liked better to change to.

Might consider painting water pump and pulleys the same color.

I just found a set of covers I really like but they are pricey. What do you think?

I think they would look much better than the chromers I have now. I had bought those because I needed something quick and cheap.

I've seen those for small block Chevys, but hadn't seen them for the big blocks. They have a great look, and I like the satin black. Looks no nonsense.

Those and maybe your breathers, air cleaner, power steering cap. Be careful not to get to carried away or it could start to look like a bad joke. I've seen some people get carried away with colored wire covers and I just had to shake my head.
