On a non-AC car, the aftermarket air kits are the way to go. They take up less space both in the engine compartment and inside the car. I installed Vintage Air in my 1977. While it was a big job, it wasn't overly difficult. You do have some wiring to do and plumbing to run. What I liked about the Vintage Air kit was the electronic control unit that replaces the stock one for the AC which replaces all of the cables. Took away clutter under the dash and it works great. I replaced my dash with an AC dash with the center vent so it would look factory. It's pretty humid here in the summer so AC was the first mod to my car.

I'm contemplating a AC install on my driver '69 Suburban, but so far they all seem pretty spendt for the few days I'd use it here in Oregon. If I find something reasonable I'll do it.

I want ti install it in both the C10 and the Camaro.
The C10 had factory air, a few pieces are just missing.
The old owner was nice, he unbolted everything.

In the Camaro everything was cut out.
