i removed my AC and waiting on the AC delete panel because i'm not a fan of AC and never use it but up to you

 

How much is a delete panel? does that just take out the space all the ac stuff took up? i did my heater core today and took out everything to do with a/c. I like windows down more anyway. but now theres a big empty space im going to be putting back in that the blower motor is attached to. it looks terrible...

 

the good ones that are made of fiberglass and not plastic are about $170 shipped but you can still use heat/defrost. Yeah it takes the space of the evaporator. I like my windows down more too. Some people mod there evaporator box and cut some off and use fiberglass or some make there own but i'm not that skilled so i bought one. http://www.acdelete.com/pages/70-81_F-Body.htm

 

Damn. I almost put the original one back on with no evaporator. (If anyone wants it i have it. haha). Can i take off the original one if the fender is on? i cant remember. im putting my fender back on tomorrow hopefully. so i just want to make sure i can get the original ac panel off and the delete panel in, with the fender on. I put in a new blower motor and heater core. Finally a car with heat.

I had to take the whole dash apart in my blazer to put a new heater core in there and it still doesnt work. i get air barely warmer than outside...

 

is there any difference in heater cores with or without ac?

 

Yes the heater cores are different. Yes the delete panel can be put in with the fender on. The inner fender needs to come out though.

 

whats different about the heater cores? i might make my box out of the other one with fiberglass. Oooor? do the camaros without Ac have something similar to the delete panel? anyone wanna trade?

 

Here is my delete box. Notice the where the heater lines come out? (mine are broke) The ones on a non AC car come out more toward the headers.

 

i bought the heater core for with ac. i can just put longer hoses on it right?

 

If you're going to install the ac delete box like Damon did, then you need the core that you bought. It's the correct one for a car that's been modified. The stock core wont work for a non ac car.
