Default 81 camaro NO SPARK!!

I have an 81 camaro project i have goin. When i first got it, it turned on but i had a little money issues so i put it on hold. When i finally tried to turn it on again, it wouldnt. After a little looking into i found that i have no spark going to the spark plugs. I ve changed the dist. cap, rotor, igition contol module, condenser, and the ignition coil and still nothing. I get 12 v going into the coil but nothing comes out. I also followed all the wires inside the dist. to make sure there is power but i find that 12v+ goes in to the ICM but 12v- comes out and those wires plug into the Ignition Coil. Is that normal? Ive read that there are 2 design of coils for HEI distributors, ones with Red and White wires, and ones with Red and Yellow wires,(which is the one i have), which is reverse polarity. Is that why there is 12V- going into the coil? Im a noob so be patient with me...

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you might not have hot on the correct terminal, or maybe the engine isn't properly grounded. Check that 12v. is on "Batt" and that the engine has a ground strap to the battery.
