Default 79 camaro rear turn signal blinker light problems

I recently bought a 1979 Camaro , and have been doing a restoration. I have started doing the lights, but I can't seem to get the rear tail light turn signal blinkers to work. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions of what could be the problem? Any help would be much appreciated.

Do you have a 12 volt test light? You need one or you'll be chasing your tail trying to figure what's the problem. If you have one, then check to a known ground from the socket to see if the shell is grounded. Then check the pins with the lights on, and also with the signal on for the side you're checking.
If nothing shows in any of these tests, you may have a bad harness, or a bad ground. Bad gorunds can easily cause everything to not work.
