Default 79 camaro with earlier year front clip

Im looking to buy a 79 Camaro. I would like to install a complete front end for a 74-76. I like the idea of an actual bumper. Will it fit

ok, that is a new combination. Yes it will fit.
so will a 70-73, most people like that front end better.

There is a rather solid steal bumper behind the nose on a 79, if you are concerned about safety. It is probably stonger then the aluminum bumpers on a 74

Welcome to the forum!
I was expecting the usual question about putting the early 2nd gen on a '79, but this sure surprised me! Most people like the molded bumpers better than the stamped aluminum bumpers for safety and looks.

surprised me too!!! I have a 74 that i'm looking to go newer with and since the header panel and front lower valance are cracked any way i may as well just do that but i'll give ya a big ugly bumper
