In my opinion no one can tell you how to fix it. First you have to figure out what is wrong. Large gaps pannel alignment can be: Sagging door hinges, incorrect alignment when installed, Incorrect repair after a wreck, Body sagging due to bushing issues and body twist cause by to much torgue with no added support.

Sagging/Misaligned doorsis the most common and can be fixed with a hinge repair/door stopkit

huh?

first off, does your doorglass seem to be tighter into the front of your window channel than the back? that might just be a bad alignment on the doorglass

is the blowout clip still in the top of the window channel? that keeps the window tighter to the frame and can be a problem especially where you are showing

are your rubbers in good shape? from the condition of your car's pictures (looks a little rough around the edges), it looks like the rubbers could probably need replacing and that's a cheap fix with great results

69 SS started it off right,
check the door glass and see what touches first, you want to make sure what needs to be adjusted. make sure all your body lines match and are in line. check your upper and lower hingepin bushings. make sure that they are not broken or worn badly, also make sure that your hinge pin isnt bent.

after you made surethe door body line isadjust correctly thentake of your window crank handle and remove the screws in the inside door handle and the plastic kick panel on the door.use a wide putty knive or a door panel remover to take the cloth panel. there are several clips and they should pull of pretty easy.
there are are two brackets that stop the window in the up position. they are called "UP-TRAVEL STOPS" adjust those to tilt your window forward or back(left or right). after you have the right tilt to your glass then look for the bolts on the window channel loosen and adjust the window in or out to keep a firm pressure on the foam barrier.

go to an automotive store and buy your self a Automotive Repair Manual, Haynes,Ect.sometimes they will be able to point out and show picture illustrations on simple repairs and adjustments. also something like thisif you ask your friendly neighbourhood body shop they should point you in the right direction unless thay want to be a *****.

or ask us and some one is bound to help

good luck, Eddie

the reason I haven't mentioned anything about worn hinges or anything like that, is because he didn't mention anything about the door sagging or anyhting like that. plus with the doors shut, bad hinges really shouldn't be a factor because the striker re-aligns the door when it is shut. if the door was off that bad, it would be hitting off his rockerpanel when it closed
