Well she looks like a project alright but for 5 bills I don't think you'd be get'n hurt.
There's that much in parts there at least.
Are you sure it's a Z28? not that it matters a lot for that price but it would add some value overall.

Wow, you have a real weird mixed breed there. That is NOT a Chevy engine, it's an Oldsmobile. It could be a 350, it could be a 455. Chevy engines had small block/big block designations. But Pontiac and Olds each had their own version of a same size block (damn big), even though the displacements can be way different. I guess the seller doesn't know what he has?
Look here: Oldsmobile Engine

I should clarify my last statement. I accidentally lumped the Olds and Pontiac together about the block sizes. Olds engines are big and small block, but at a quick glance they look similar. Whereas a big and small block Chevy looks quite different.
Here's some engine number info: http://classicoldsmobile.com/forums/...s-engines.html

Good eye, didn't catch that the first go round.
I'll bet someone pulled one of those Olds 403's out of a late 70's Pontiac TransAm,tranny and all for a transplant into the Camaro.
Simple swap if you have a donor car.
That would also explain where the 400 turbo came from.
