Lol yeah I"m pretty sure I'll enjoy it and the only reason I'm worried about the gas mileage because it will be my first car and I dont want to end up gettin stuck paying a ****load for gas.

Then try the 8 cyl as a project build and the 6 under the hood. Now are ya SURE the RO was setup with an 8 originaly? The gear ratio from 6 to 8 is different and many put an 8 cyl in to replace the 6 and left the original gear ratio. This tended ta give em more off the line but crap for fuel economy and top end.Either way if considerin gas savins make sure ya match the rear gear with whatever ya drop in cylynder and tranny wise.As always have fun...Bill

Another thought is to put as tall of gears as you can find in it,(2:73,3:23) ,with a overdrive Trans.YES,it won't spank anyone, but it's a cheap easy milege improver and something that can be changed back when It's no longer a daily driver.

yea the rear would probably be the easiest..and youc an probably get a 2:73 cheap scicne no1 really wants them(i kno i dont want mine lol)...but yea i got a pretty mild 350 with an edelbrock 600cfm carb on it and a th350 trans with 2:73 rear and if i drive liek a granny i can almost get 20mpg out of it..and like 23-25 highway......idk anything about the 4spd autos but thats soudns liek a better bet if it has a lower 1st gear cuz my car leaves extreamly slow but in the top end kicks ***
