Default 73 Camaro Purchase thoughts

Looking at buying a 73 Camaro that has LT matching numbers with 350 and air cond. all the body/metal work is done. No bondo, no rust and the interior needs a bunch of work.

He is asking $13,500. Any thoughts on price?

Pictures might help but it's probably in the high side of the ball park, early 2nd get cars are rising in value fast but not there with 1st gen cars yet.
He's probably hoping to get at least $10K but it's not a Z28 is it? You said LT did you mean a Camaro Type LT or a Z28 with the LT1 motor, huge difference in value.
I wouldn't buy it expecting to make money on it after a full restoration is done, prices are all over the map and the cost to finish it will likely put you upside down in value.

thank you, adding some pics below.

I plan to to put in a spec chassis and LT4 motor so probably not looking for profit . This was my first car as a teenager so looking to get back into one and customize it. 13k seems high but it’s local. It’s just an LT.

It would cost a bit more but you can get a brand new body.

That’s an interesting option. What would you do? I assume it’s worth more to have original numbers even though I customize it.

I don't really have an answer for that, never considered spending the kind of money your project is going to cost.
I'm not sure the value would be anymore with the original '73 body after a restomod like you are planning,a brand new body might be better but the one you're looking at looks pretty good.First thing I'd do is try to beat the guy down on the '73 to a more reasonable price.
Or,heck you can probably find a complete running driving '73 for $20K or less with some looking around that needs a lot less work.

In 1973 LT replaced the SS. The LT was the top of the line.
