67-68-69 camaro questin *REVISED*
K so i was wondering if the engines in the 67-68-69 camaros had a 4 bolt block or only a 2? adn if the only have 2 how hard is it to convert to 4? or do u need to covert to 4 if say u have 400 horses? Also, wjhat are ther difference between the 67-68-69 camaros?? are they all good and look the same?? what trannys are good?
im not sure if they came with 4 Bolts, but there is an adapter kit to make it a 4 bolt main out there, but the price is a little steep. on an original first gen motor, it would be worth it to keep the #'s matching
I.M.O. i like small blocks, they are more affordable and you can get good power from them, as far as 327 vs 350 the 327 will rap up quicker because of its shorter stroke. but its gonna be a little harder to find a 327 to build. 350's are everywhere, cant go wrong either way
67, 68 and 69 all had two and four bolt main cap engines mainly in 302, 327, 350, 396 and the wonderful 427 aluminum block which was installed in 69, 1969 Camaros and only two Corvettes during the 1969 model year.
As far as automatic transmissions there is the two speed power glide, 350 turbohydramitic and 400 turbohydramitic for the big blocks.
The 1967 Camaro has the vent window on the doors
1968 has an exterior trim option that mounts to the top of the doors and and quarters. I think this gives the car a nice clean look.
1969 has different front fenders and they added quarter panel louvers. I think the RS grill on the 69 is very sweat!
