Have you seen anybody put a 6 speed or a 5 speed for that matter in a classic 67-69 camaro, i have a 68 camaro and was thinking about one of these two sticks for my ride. Does anybody know what type of modifying has to be done and to the extent of which. Also does anyone know where to buy one of these? Willl a stick out of a newer bird or camaro fit. Does anybody know of any for sale, or where I could search to find out more information on this matter.

Just put a five speed Tremec in my 69. Bought it from Classic Chevy Five Speed.
Check out there very detailed web sight. NO Modification needed!

 

I just installed a Keisler 5 speed in my 67 camaro worked great. No modifications. I checked both out. For the factory console the Keisler set up was less.
