Default 4th gen Camaro seats in a 2nd gen?

Quick question here. I want to replace my old worn out 1979 Camaro seats with some black leather/cloth from a newer Camaro.. would this go in easy? Anyone know if a new track is needed or if there are already custom kits out there for this? Thanks in advance.

Someone on here already did it. He said all he had to do was reuse the old tracks and he had to drill a new hole in it to mount it to the seat.

Niiice... I'm looking for a nice set of leather or black cloth seats from a 4th gen.. know if the rear seats are an easy swap as well? The rears look like they would match up nicely other than the seat belt notches on the sides of the 4th gen seats

Just take your rear seats with you to a wrecking yard, so you can measure everything side by side. I did that with my wife's 1970 Nova, and found some really nice electric sets from a Monte Carlo dropped right into her Nova.
