Default 68 Camaro Seats

Sorry it has been so long since I have done an update. Apparently it is very true about how long it takes to work on these projects because between continuing education, a new job and a second child being born I haven't touch the project in 6 months. I will definitely be starting it back up as soon as I get back from these TDYs.....
I have a seat question for all of you gurus. I never paid attention to the seats that I got with the car but I realized recently that one of the seats has a headrest and is a different pattern than the other but the shape is the same, as well as the levers and the side metal connectors. I looked it up and found that the headrest options is very rare so I am pretty sure the one seat is original but the headrest seat was brought from somewhere else but I cannot find a seat that looks similar online. Just trying to figure out if it is worth saving the headrest seat, covering it without the headrest or just getting a new seat. Thank you.

Sorry if the pictures are small. Just had my phone with me since the car is parked 30 miles from my house.

Check this out, although not much help in determining if your car was equipped with headrests or not.

I ran across that website earlier in the week but I did not have pictures of the seats to reference them. From what I see and it is probably correct is the driver seat must have been swapped with a 69 standard camaro seat at one time. I am figuring that the two years are pretty much identical except for headrests were standard on the 69. As for the insides, can I just refoam both seats and put 68 covers on them? Get another 69 seat and have headrests? What do you guys think will be the easiest?

Personal preference really. I would be interested to see if you took the back off the one without headrests if there were a place for it but they just werent installed.

I just posted a question about 68 camaro seats on the Camaro Forum and came across your post. What did you find out? I'm looking to modify my 68 seats to make them a little more comfortable with more lumbar and more bolster. What did you do?
