Tough circumstances, hope something works out to your benefit. Funny how time works sometimes too. I would have to assume realistically, without knowing how far you drive daily, but the fuel costs would probably make a car payment? I drive a truck in the winter time and it almost breaks me due to fuel costs. Sure would be a "good problem to have" to drive that beautiful Camaro around every day but with the excess wear and tear on it, is that something you would seriously consider doing? Again, hope something works out for you so you don't have to do that, best of luck to you.

Mine is my Daily Driver during summer, it really took a toll on it last year because it was only driven on weekends before by the po. I had a couple broken parts because I didnt exactly take it easy on the car. but overall it was fine. the gas cost me a small fortune though. its just like any other car only it gets a couple more looks on the road.

Mine stayed togther for the most part. the brakes were an interresting transition, i was used to driving a 97 camaro. mine just had dumb things go wrong. the power steering bracket broke.. stuff like that that kept it off the street for a couple weeks at a time

i drove my '81 everyday for the first 1.5 years that i had it. It had a 5 year old rebuilt 305 in it and drove great, never broke down once. took a lot of gas even with my 30 mile commute with the 2.73 gears that it had at the time. but it draws alot of looks and is fun to drive in summer when its nice. but can be scary in the snow LOL

I remember my 70 was a beast to drive in the snow... I drove it Every day 32 miles to work and back... I had to rebuild the Tranny but it ran and ran and ran... brakes and gas is all it ate!
