Default 1981 Camaro ignition style change

Hello friends. I have a 1981 camaro that started its life as a berlinetta but has been changed to a nice street rod in every sense of the word. My issue is this. The ignition switch is bad and doesnt do anything now when turned. The problem symptoms started by it wouldnt turn off one day when i got home. After going on and off a few times it finally did. Then it got to where when you turned the switch on the dash lights would come on but when you went to start it, nothing. It has a new starter and new battery. I would like to just eliminate the ignition switch and make it like a race car so to speak by using 2 toggle switches. One to flip up for run and another momentary spring return switch to start it. The problem i am having is finding a schematic that has the wire colors that match mine and then knowing which wires to go to both toggle switches i would be adding. I have found a close diagram that would have me putting the ACC, Bat 2, IGN 1 and IGN3 for the run switch and colors look like they would be pink w/double black stripe for IGN1, Red for Bat2, Brown for ACC and orange for IGN3. The start toggle would be GRD1 which is DRK green w/ double white stripe, GRD2 which is Tan w/ double white stripe, IGN1 again, Bat1 which doesnt look like it is used, and the SOL which looks like it would be Purple or Purple with double white stripe. I printed that diagram off of NastyZ28.com but my colors dont seem to be exactly like those. So i was wondering if any body here would know how to point me in the right direction or has done it and can give me the colors etc. I have looked at the connector under the dash coming from the column and the colors change from the male to female side. Wiring it wouldnt be an issue for me i have that ability and would know how to hook them up i am pretty sure but getting the colors right is where i am having my issue. You guys may tell me that i dont need to do all that just use the wires and thats it or something like that. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated and thank you ahead of time for your time. GO CHEVY
