Hey guys looking to buy a 1980 z, never had a gen 2 always a gen 3 where do I look for rot issues, is there anything special I should be aware of, is this a computer car? It's a 4 speed should it be a Saginaw or Muncie? Any input would be greatly appreciated

Probably a Borg Warner trans.

As for computer or not,they didn't start that until 81 in most cases,but i believe i read somewhere that california cars got the computer in 80,not sure if thats correct though.

Wouldn't be surprised; Ca. cars got emission stuff a year or two before the rest the world.
