1980 rear window molding

Default 1980 rear window molding

How the heck to you get the rear window molding off my 80 camaro? i have broke one of those clips trying to pry the molding off. Iam not sure what the clips are held in by! I have really made it look like crap now.

You need a molding tool that will pop the trim off. You slide it under the molding on the glass side, put a rag under it to protect the glass, slide it over until u=you feel the clip and pry up on it until it pops the molding off.
The clips still occasionally break, but new ones are easy to buy. If you break the little studs the clips go on, then you've got a bigger problem! I had a few of those break and I had to drill and tap for 6-32 flathead screws, then epoxy the screws to seal, and install the clips with screws.
