Default 1979 camaro

I have recently bought a 1979 z28 camaro project car. what motor would be the best for my car the 454 or the 377 stroker?

Those are the only 2 choices? What are you planning on doing with it?

For the record a 377 is a destroked 400.

Yep, and it wouldn't be my first or second choice. I'd much sooner go with a 383 stroker than the 400 destroked to 377. The 454 is a good choice also if you like cubic inches and torque.

depending on preferance and wallet size go with the BB, more power is always better

Them big blocks are way over rated Joe!
