Default 1979 b/b motor mount swap

Please help. I'm putting a 454 in my '79 Z-28. The '72 b/b motor mounts don't seem to line up anywhere on the frame. Do I need to drill new holes in the frame or can I use the stock 350 mounts along with the stock holes? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes you can use the stock frame mounts. You might want to go with Polly mounts on the block though instead of the OEM. They hold up better. If you have a/c you may need to modify the box and tall valve covers may cause you clearance issues. with the brake booster.

These adapter plates will allow you to swap a Chevrolet big block, or small block engine in the place of any 1997-2013 Gen 3 or Gen 4 LS engine.
