1978 Camaro sport coupe
Type LT stood for Luxury Touring it was more of a gentleman's Camaro if you will with a special trim package which that vinyl top would have been part of.
It wouldn't necessarily be on the title as such.
I don't recall seeing a vinyl top on any other model of that era, that said when the car was bought new if ordered and waited for rather than off the showroom floor they may have been able to order one with that top on another model.
T-tops were a big hit when they came out, also notorious for leaking water and the cause of many a rust problem.

Thank you so much for all your help. I don’t have a sports coupe badge anywhere on the car but on the vin number decoder web site says it’s a sports coupe. The Camaro was purchased from the show room floor in 1977. I’m wondering if someone special ordered it and back out. I was told the cowl tag should have a letter by the upper paint color if it’s a vinyl top. I have a W in front of the 11 lower and a W in front of 11 upper. I know the first W represents Water base/enamel.
