I have not, as the car is in an off site storage facility and won't be able to get over to it till next weekend... But I figured that I'd get all the facts and knowledge that I could before digging back into it... But that is the first thing I'll try... So let's assume that it does in fact roll down, would we still be assuming that the brown wire is burned thru somewhere possibly?... Or could it be something else?...

Your problem is inside the door. Bypass the switch and it works....it's the switch.
If it still doesn't work, look further down the line towards the motor.
