Default 1975 rust repair

Hello all, I purchased a 1975 Camaro Lt that definitely needs some work, the car came with new lh and rh floor pans but it’s stops before the transmission tunnel. Do you thing this surface is safe to weld to or would it cause issues

There are areas that seem like they would be too thin to weld. its always hard to tell with pics. Assuming you are using mig welding. With all those pin holes I may opt to just replace the whole floor. If replacing the floor was not an option I would weld in a large patch panel. Then patch anything that burnt through with smaller patches then you can a use copper backing plate on all the "pin" hole. Then coat the whole thing with epoxy primer, both sides and bed liner or Por-15, on the bottom.

Eastwood has videos on most of their tools and some videos on how to make patches on youtube
