What do you do about minor rust spots on the floor pan???

Default What do you do about minor rust spots on the floor pan???

I ripped up all the old carpet and the floor pan is rusted a bit, im not to sure what to do to fix that, Suggestions?

How rusted is it? If it's just surface rust then you can sand it off, primer it and paint it. If it's significant like rusted through then you can patch it up by welding in some metal plating or cut out part of a floor from another Camaro. If it's a huge hole then you might have to just put in a new floor (as was the case with my old Camaro which had the driver's seat supported soley by carpet).

its just surface rust with some minor holes

I would say get some rust neutralizer, just priming and painting it will not kill the rust. After you do that, knock off any loose stuff and spray some undercoating on it.

get a wire brush and go to town. vacuum out all the **** then sand. then i cant remember what its called but a company makes some stuff that sprays down, its a rust neutralizer+sound proofing agent. it will also take care of the minor holes cause its like a foam. then paint and put back down your carpet.
