Default 1975 Headlight Retaining Ring

I'm looking for a replacement headlight retaining ring for a 1975 Camaro (or any Chevrolet with the same 7" headlight). Every vendor I search through has the same 1" deep ring, which is too deep and doesn't hold the headlight correctly. Additionally, the mounting tabs on the original are positioned slightly different from the replacement, such that only 2 out of 3 mounting screws can be installed.

For example: Camaro Headlight Retaining Ring, 1967-1975 | 5950248 - Ricks Camaro Parts

(searching for "5950248" turns up the same part through many vendors)

I'm certain that the good retaining rings I have are OEM, they interchange between the Camaro, a C60, and a C10 just fine... So what am I missing that can't find the correct replacement?

The left ring is the widely available replacement, the right ring is the original. Can anyone point me toward a vendor that has the ring I need?

I bought a set at advanced auto but I cant remember fore sure if they were as thin as your original ring or not. A quick search of their site returns part number 42408.

It does look thinner, and the "universal fit" with a bunch of extra tabs looks like it has the positions that I need. For $8.97, I'll give it a shot. Thanks very much for the part#!
