Default 1971 camaro car surges while driving

Hi,

I have a 1971 Camaro 2 barrel automatic 307 v8. Recently had a new distributor and carb rebuilt. Problem lately is the car surges while driving. Mainly notice it on the free way. Can someone give me some tips on locating what the problem could be, thanks.

Surging is usually the result of a fuel problem. Make sure the carb was rebuilt properly, especially check the float level, jet sizes, and air leaks. Also make sure the fuel filter is clean.

I had a feeling that it could possibly be the carburetor as it had a float problem before. It was rebuilt with new gaskets. If so i'll just replace with a new carburetor.

Would you happen to know the part# for the carburetor or where it's located. I have a 2 barrel carb, thanks.
