Default 1970 Cowl Tag Decoding

Does anyone know what the last series of cowl tag numbers (I believe they are plant codes) stand for? My 1970 Camaro was built in the Van Nuys plant. I believe there are two sets of six digit codes on the bottom center of the cowl tag.

www.nastyz28.com has extensive cowl tag decoding info

FWIW...my 70 Z does not have the series of numbers you suggest. Mine is a Norwood built car, so I'm guessing yours is a LA Built, and this is referred to as a "DP sequence", for which there appears to be very little info.

Yep, its a LA built car. Vin sequence shows its number 932 from the plant in 1970. Not a Z - just a standard V8 with Cranberry exterior and black interior.

Thanks for the information.
