Default 1970 camaro Window Crank

I need help diagnosing a problem with the fit of my window cranks on my 70 Camaro. The problem is both side rub the upper black plastic part of the door panel. The uppers appear to be original pieces and the lower door panels are new. The regulators don't appear to have been changed. The upper panels line up fine and attach to the factory holes in the doors. However, the cranks rub the upper panels. I have been told that their are different regulators for deluxe and standard interior...catalogs don't mention anything about different interiors or regulators.

Anyone experience this or have suggestsions?

The 70-71 Deluxe panels have a longer window crank shaft. If your panels look like this, their deluxe.

Are your door panels one piece or 2 piece...can't really tell from the pic. Mine don't have the woodrain or what appears to be trim molding, however, they are similar from the woodgrain trim down. So, if I have the standard interior these should work fine...but they don't.

I have deluxe which are one piece. So you have standard and the crank shaft is too short? Is the a 1" plastic spacer on the panels at the crank hole?

No, I don't have the spacer...just test fitting everything and ran into this problem. Are you sure the deluxe interior takes the longer stems...it seems to me that the standard interior would require the longer stems due to the 2 piece design and the upper plastic pieces.

Could someone give me the crank stem length on the window regulator for standard and/or deluxe interior? Hopefully, the length would allow me to verify what I have.
