I enjoyed your build photos. Took me about 45 minutes to go through them all. The car looks gorgeous.

I think those wheels look awesome. Can you tell me the sizes and offset/backspacing? Are they 18's?

Cragar 14" or 15" (16" and bigger just don't look right) deep dish SS rims with raised white letter tires. A timeless classic.
And of course the OEM 14" Chevy SS rims look awesome with rwl tires.

Without mini-tubs, what's the widest rim you can run in 15, 16, and 17 inch wheels and what backspacing or offset? I've heard you can also gain space by cutting the old tub, moving it ove an inch and a half, and welding in a filler. The guys who have done this must all be welders bc that's more welding than mini tubs right? I also wonder what would happen if the shock mounts were moved to the _inside_ of the leaf spring?

But I'm still very curious about what tire/rim combos you can fit under a stock fender without rubbing.

I prefer the classic 15" rim on my 68 even though I have seen several larger rim diameters that look great on the 1st gen Camaros. I'm currently running 15x9 Weld Racing Prostars with a 4.5 BS and Hoosier 275x60x15R Drag Radials. The rear suspension is modified while still retaining leaf springs. Hotchkis rear anti-sway bar, Competition Engineering slide-a-link traction bars, QA1 adjustable shocks moved inboard of the springs and Hotchkis subframe connectors. Hard launches and normal driving are very solid with no rubbing. I have not mini-tubbed the car. Moving the shocks inboard does buy you some space and lets you maximize the existing space available.

That looks close but I'll take you word for it that there's no rubbing LOL. Do you have a couple pictures from underneath showing all those great mods? Did you make your own shock relocation mounts or did you go with aftermarket?
