Well I guess I should have asked what the year of car was that you were inquiring about. 67-68 years are not as easy to determine whether an SS or base car. Sorry about that.Build sheet, window sticker, etc would help greatly.

It's a 67, made in late January of 67.

67 is a great year. I am looking at a 67 RS vert 327 for $27k. Gotta sell some stuff 1st.

Yes, the 67 is nice, But, how does one tell an RS from an SS and how does one tell if it's IS an RS or an SS and what motor came in it?

Paper work. It's all that I would look for and from there figure out what it really is. Sounds like your car might not have stock drive train.

According to one decode site this thing has a COnsole and a TH400 Tranny... Why in the heck would they put a TH400 behind a standard issue 6 cyl or 327? THey say that without a number on one of the blank fields that the engine would either be a 6 or a SB 327... THat don't make any sence to me with a TH400 and a 327...

What say's the populace?
