shock perches

i've bought 67 camaro and it came with a new leaf spring perches ,there both the same meaning one shock will mount forward and one will mount aft is this normal with the new style leaf spring brakets .

That is how the 69's are. The 67's were both on the same side. I'm not sure about 68, but I believe those were the same as 69?
