Does your 69 have power steering? Manual/automatic? I suppose since you are running a 350 you'll probably be OK with 1 5/8 inch primaries and that gives you more options than I had when trying to find 1 3/4 inch primary headers for my 67 with a 383.

I couldn't find a Hooker set that would fit my power steering, manual, A/C combination and didn't cost a fortune. I tried Hedmann's, but they wouldn't clear the PS box. I finally ended up going with a Doug's D368 header. Fits great.

Sorry I can't be more definite with you but I *can* say that buying them from Summit Racing is a pretty good way to go. They have very good compatibility checking on their website and are very good about taking them back if they don't fit. They took my Hedmann's back even though they *were* scratched. They even paid the return shipping. Hard to beat.

Good luck,

Mitch

This is a heads up..
Beware Hookers headers do not fit perfectly on the right (passenger) side of the Camaro.
Although I have a 2nd Gen, when I told a friend of mine what happened he told me the same thing happened with his 1st gen.
Both have Small Blocks, Automatic & Flowmasters, No AC.

I know because I always wanted Hooker headers & finally got them, when the shop that was overhauling my car put the motor back in, the header it hit, they thought they did something wrong & put my old Black Jack header on & it fit fine.
We put the Hookers on since I had bought them too long ago and they could get it to fit and did not want to delay the work.

Also Hooker, Summit & Jegs all had the wrong info on their sites for the correct header (it appears that Hooker made a mistake & Summit & Jegs did not catch it)
I know because the first set of headers I got was not even close, they were for a Ford (so much for searching the Internet). I called Hooker & they said, opps you are right the correct header is 2451-3HKR not the 2466-3HKR listed on the Hooker page, does not appear they updated their site

(I may have the numbers backwards, It has been a while sorry)

I wrote to Hooker Headers & told them how pissed, after waiting 20 some odd years to finally get Hookers (I put BlackJacks on in 1992 cause I was poor) and that we needed to bend the passenger floor up a little to get them to fit. (they never responded)
Heddman <sp> do fit too ... but it is too late for me.

& I did not see this thread on Nasty's before I ordered my headers

Now on the bright side I did get the DarkSide Ceramic & it does look good !!!!!! & I will be driving with them "forever".

If there is a heat issue that happens when I start driving it I plan to use Lava Mat, but that may be over kill.

Hooker's quality control must really be slipping. Their name always used to mean "they fit".
