Head ID question
I recently acquired a 1968 Camaro from a family member that was supposed to be an all original numbers matching '68 RS 327 2brl with a powerglide.
I'm looking at replacing the carb looked at the heads and noticed the camel humps which were on the 4brl 327 if I'm not mistaken.
Here's the pic https://i.imgur.com/s9K0kbO.jpg
Edit: here's the other side https://i.imgur.com/eZeKGTN.jpg
Based on this website ( Head Guide ) it looks like they are e or f which they shouldn't be. If I am correct I have some number checking to do. Am I right?

Those markings on the heads should be 3986388 they show up as '68-'79 with 1.72x1.50 valves. They are not camel hump heads.
I picked up an all original (supposed to be anyway) '67 327/210 car and my heads are supposed to be either 462624s or 333882s but I have yet to pull the valve covers off. Maybe this next week as I just bought some new valve covers & air cleaner.

68 350 heads
Thanks for the reply. Are the double hump heads correct for the 68 Camaro 350 engine? I will pull the valve covers and check the numbers though.
I just purchased this 68 SS350 Camaro which has a built ZZ4 engine (417hp on the dyno sheet) in it now but it came with the "original" matching numbers complete engine. So far all the engine and car numbers check out, much to my surprise. I was thinking about rebuilding the engine,
particularly since all the other numbers are correct as well. It even has the correct Muncie, M22 trans. Any thoughts on this? I am primarily a Corvette guy with a 61 Fuelie, 63 Split Window and a 65 Roadster 396/425, but came across this car and just couldn't pass it up. Always liked the first gen Camaro.
All the best,
Jim.

Nice Camaro and correct year !!!
Yes, dbl humps for it.
Tip: if block needs decking, have the machine shop avoid cutting code pad.
I have taken a new Norton honing and a can of WD40, remove the dowel pins, and hand 'hone', in a circular motion, the deck and heads clean or smooth.
This process makes for a flatter surface for steel head gaskets.
Nice ride, indeed. Also like your fuelie.
