Engine Color
This question arose probably quite often. I found several informations about the correct engine orange and I conclude that there is nothing really accurate but in any case what is the most correct for a 1968 351 small block ? I found RAL 2008 #F66B29 came the most often. I have access to a good quality paint and from a regular supplier for RAL 2011 #e57738 but it seems more regular orange and less reddish...
Also head bolts are not painted and I don't want to paint them BUT is there a way to remove them and re-torque them back in place when paint is done without removing the head, changing gasket, ...
I don't like engines painted as a whole with all bolts, gaskets, ... painted.

I wouldn't do that without new head gaskets.
Anybody can help with the correct RAL color for engine?
