Confusion has set in on my engine build. I have a 350 bored .30 with trw .1 dome pistons and I put stock vortec truck heads on it. My buddy ,who has built more engines than me, said that I would need to get an adjustable vac advance on my distributor because of the high compression. I want to put a stock HEI on it. I know I should buy a better dist, but will the stock work for now until I’m ready to drop 4/5 hundred on a better ignition? Any suggestion will be helpful. Thanks in advanced.
