I was wondering if there was a way to tell if my M21 came from a Z28...I was told it was and dont know how to tell...There is a 9 digit number going vertical near the tailshaft housing flange...39M132972....Partial VIN??? any help would be great...

from everything that I have read, those last 6 numbers are the last 6 of the VIN of the car that the trans was installed at the factory.

 

Didn't all Z28s come withM22s?
