Check these links. What else can you tell us about your project?

While 327cid 350HP was an available engine in Chevy at that time (extremely popular in the Chevy II Nova as an SS model), I don't think it was an RPO item for Camaro in 69. All of the parts should still be available at any Chevy dealer. That particular engine should have been around 9.5/1 compression, perhaps 10/1, the cam was a Chevy hydraulic lifter camshaft, I believe that engine used the domed high performance pistons, 4 bolt mains, and I believe the "double hump" heads. The Camaro V-8 lineup in 69 was 307cid 2bbl carb, I think they dropped the 327cid 2bbl carb from the Camaro that year, there may have been a 327cid 4bbl carb 275/300HP available but I really don't think so (my memory gets hazy on the more obscure options),the 302cid Z/28 4bbl carb high performance, the 350cid 4bbl carb high performance (SS engine), 396cid 4bbl carb in 325, 350, and 375 HP versions (optional SS engines).427cid 4bbl carb was a COPO engine not available as a regular production order (RPO).I may have missed something, but this should be close.

I looked into the L79 specs before because I thought the 327 would be a good combo with the vortec heads. What i remember is that they were 11 to 1 compression yes the camel hump head with 2.02 1.6 valves hydraulic cam with around .450 lift do a search for L79 327 Im sure you will find the specs. Just one other thing all factory 327s were 2 bolt main.

Don't know if this would help, but I had a 68 Vette with a 327/350 HP. Had 11:1 compression, hydraulic lifters, dual point distributor, and ram's horn exhaust manifolds. Don't know about head type. Had air pump, fully shielded ignition system. No AC & no power steering because the factory said they couldn't take the revs. Quadrajet carb around 600 CFM, 4 speed box & the stiffest clutch this side of a Freightliner.

The listings I looked at earlier tonight showed 68-69 327 for A, F, Vette as 4 bolt main, I would assume that was from the factory.

I would double check that I am pretty sure that the only came in two bolts version they changed the journal size but were always two bolt. Post a link to where you found the info this is what I usually use http://www.mortec.com/castnum.htm
I had a guy from canada tell me he had a 4 bolt 327 and the put them in trucks up there it turned out to be a 350 block with a 327 crank.

327's were available in the 69 Camaro's. Just though I'd throw that in there

The very limited '69 327's did come with either 2 bolt or 4 bolt mains. Chevy phased out their 327 the beginning of '69. That same 4 bolt block was designed for the 302 z motors as well as the ss 350's, no 2 bolt blocks for these motors in '69. Some of these 4 bolt blocks made their way to the lower powered 327's. I'm almost sure that the 327/275 l-30 and the 327/350 (or 325 hp) l-79 were no longer available in '69 as they were replaced with the higher cubed 350's.
This also holds true for 1968 with regard to the 2 bolt vs. 4 bolt blocks although there were some 2 bolt 302's and ss 350's. The l-79 327/350 was still available for the vetts while the same l-79 rated @ 325 hp could be ordered for most other chevys except the camaro. The 327/300 corvette motor was the very similar version of the 327/275 (l-30) for camaro and other chevys.
'67 was all together different. The ss 350's (l-48) beginning production around August 1966 were an up-graded version of the 327/275 (l-30). They had the medium journal forged cranks and most had the same block casting #'s as the 327/275 and 302 z motors although the only one to recieve the medium 2:45 journal was the ss 350 (l-48). These three '67 motors all had 2 bolt mains.
I know for sure that most if not all of the 327 truck engines did have 4 bolt mains along with an extra compression ring.
