67 rs camaro
Just purchased a 1967 Camaro RS, how can I find out whether the engine on it has a 350cid, or a 327 cid, is there a difference visually to distinct one from another. Car does not have protecto plate, this is the only information I can get, or is there other information on engine?

Can anyone help identifying engine?

The engines look the same. You will need the numbers that are stamped on top of the block, in front of the passenger side head, to identify. Use these web sites to helpdecode:

If it was an original 350 it would have to be a RS/SS. With that optionall the badges we be SS and it would have the 12 bolt rear.

If it has the original intake, carb and engine and the carb is a two barrel, then it would have to be a 327 as all 67 (and I believe 68) 350s were 4 barrel. This is not a good "true identity test", just a quick spotting guide. The other advice given in earlier posts was more precise.

RE: 67 rs camaro
Thanks for all your help on this. If anyone is interested, there are 2 Camaros for sale here locally in California. 1970 Camaro SS, not original engine, has a lot of parts for it, guy wants $4800. 1977 Camaro RS Type LT, solid car, guy wants $4500. If anyone interested I can try to provide phone numbers so you can talk to them directly.
